Representation.




V for Vendetta
Challenging Evey’s femininity, her masculinity gives her more power allowing her to birth the revolution.
V’s mask allows all identity to be hidden, this results in everyone being equal in power and importance.
Gordon is shown as a good “breadwinner” and therefore a close match to what a  male should be. However the room reveals his homosexual identity.

Children of men 
This scene shows Theo as a masculine as he is looking after the female, however it challenges this stereotype as it is usually a female who would deliver the baby as a midwife. His joy also implies his femininity.
Jasper is an example of a stock character. He fits into different characters suggesting he does not conform to specific characteristics. I would say he is a “wise old man” and an “elderly marital arts master”
